origami Synthesis Superblack
since 2022
Painted in superblack, the monochrome conceals its tessellated surface from a distance, as if attempting to hide its underlying structure even from close inspection.
origami, kinetic reliefs
since 2013
This series combines the tessellation of regular geometries with combinatorial logic - their folding and unfolding both completed with colors. Based on scripts, the emerging patterns combine the shape logic with chance.
mosaic, red, green and blue
2013
The play on primary colors and the geometric constellations give the artwork a 'neo-plasticist' character, whereas its programmed logic combines serendipity with simplicity, and order with randomness.
binary waves notations
2008
These printouts notate the oscillations of the installation 'binaryWave'. Their motion patterns act as a compositional tool as an overall conceptual image.
808
2016
The mechanical motion of these customised displays creates a clapping sound. Their generative rhythm becomes visible due to the shifting white squares recalling the legendary drum machine 808 with its programmable drum patterns.
generative art console
since2006
This series combines so named aperiodic tessellation of different geometries with combinatorial logic - their folding and unfolding both completed with corresponding colors harmonies. Based on scripts, the emerging patterns combine colour, shape and patterns with chance.
origami Permutations
since 2014
Each relief is a unique permutation drawn from an infinite plane of possibilities. Its geometries are vocabulary, their combinations are syntax, through which randomness becomes a form of order.
mosaic, black&white
since 2013
The elementary vocabulary of these kinetic mosaics and their architectural characteristics position them within the tradition of Art Concrete, whereas their programmed logics add infinite variation-evolution.
framework notations
2008
These notations define the movement of the kinetic installation framework f5x5x5, translating movement into a geometric motif.
origmai Programs
2015
This series of prints is based on a visual progression from white to black. Following written rules these grids are successively filled establishing a dialogue between semantics, logic, and aesthetics.
origami, aperiodic Pattern
since 2014
This series combines so named aperiodic tessellation of different geometries with combinatorial logic - their folding and unfolding both completed with corresponding colors harmonies. Based on scripts, the emerging patterns combine colour, shape and patterns with chance.
